March 27 at 7:30 pm ($5-10 sliding scale)
at the Cummington Community House
33 Main Street, Cummington MA 01026
For the third year, I will hold a concert and community event to coincide with Earth Hour, “a global call to action to every individual, every business and every community to stand up, to show leadership and be responsible for our future.” Along with millions of others around the planet, we will douse the lights at 8:30pm for one hour.
Seems a good time for a night of music and community updates about living the sustainable good life: we’ll muse on personal and political change, and talk about what is going on in the Hilltowns re: our new coop, CSAs, farmers, local food, permaculture… and more!
This program is supported in part by grants from the Cummington, Worthington, Plainfield and Chesterfield Cultural Councils, local agencies which are are supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. www.massculturalcouncil.org

On Saturday, April 24 at 7:00 pm I’ll hold a house concert (donations accepted) at the home of Karina Wang, 1319 Crain St. in Evanston. We would love to see you, and reservations are required, so please RSVP to my sister Chris if you can make it (773-793-4102). For directions, call Karina (847-866-6790).

It’s the land that is our wisdom
It’s the land that shines us through
It’s the land that feeds our children
It’s the land, you cannot own the land, the land owns you.

“With her vast and unusual repertoire, Sarah spins a story into a lyrical web of sound that she wraps ever so gently around the listener, moving and changing them. Her presence is as compelling as her performances are unforgettable, awakening the heart and mind of those lucky enough to hear her remarkable song interpretations. She’s my favorite local singer. – Penny Schulz
“Her singing is soulful and deeply felt; when she began to sing I felt the mood in the whole room change.”
“I haven’t fall so much in love with a singer since I first heard Kate Bush.”
“My CD player has become a Sarah Stockwell jukebox. I just can’t get enough of her!”
“Eroticism, grace and a deep, loving sensuality are brought to every note.”
